PETERSEN MEDIA- Following a tough night at the Outlaw Motorsports Park, Harli White and her team put together a new car and went on to score a seventh place finish with the ASCS Sooner Region.
“Overall it was an okay weekend,” White said. “We have been fighting the car that we ran on Friday kind of all year, so we opted to put a new one together on Saturday and it was better right out of the box.”
Starting third in her heat race by way of random pill draw, White was able to maintain her position aboard her Lucas Oil/Mesilla Valley Transportation/PXP Racewear backed entry, and locked herself into the night’s feature.
With no passing points, White lined up for the feature in the seventh row, but the Lindsey, OK racer wasted no time, as she began working forward as soon as they race went green.
On a track that was very racy, White was able to race her way well inside the Top-10, as he worked her way to a seventh place finish.
“After the night we had on Friday, we will definitely take the seventh place finish,” she explained. “Everyone on this team never quits and works really hard, and to get a new car together, and be competitive, I can’t thank them enough.”
Friday night at the Outlaw Motorsports Park, White was in action with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour. Starting on the pole of her heat race, White got off to a bad start, and to make things work, she got upside down, and was forced to run the B main
Getting things repaired, White started 14th in the B, and still fought her car as she ended her night 12th in the B.
