Inside Line Promotions – WICHITA FALLS, Texas (March 8, 2016) – Harli White is back in the swing of things following a successful outing last weekend during the Red River Roundup.

White competed for the victory on Friday night and charged forward to garner a top 10 on Saturday during POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series action at Red River Speedway.

“We went forward all weekend besides the Friday incident, but before then we were moving forward,” she said. “Overall it was a pretty good weekend and we learned some things.”

The competition began on Friday with White maneuvering from fifth to second place during a heat race. That lined her up on the inside of the third row for the main event.

“I took the lead from Tanner Thorson after a yellow about seven or eight laps into the feature,” she said. “I slid him going into turn one on the restart. I had the lead for three or four laps. Then I got slid and got tangled up. I spun and had to go to the back. After that we had another altercation and got a broken shock. We had a good run going at first, but things happened and it didn’t end well.”

White rebounded from the two incidents to post a 14th-place result.

The weekend concluded on Saturday with White advancing from fifth to fourth place in a heat race and from third to win a B Main. That locked her into the 16th starting position for the feature.

“The track was one lane around the bottom,” she said. “It basically went from green to checkered. There was hardly any passing. You didn’t want to get out of line. We had a fast car, but you pretty much had to wait on somebody to mess up to get by them.”

White rallied to score an eighth-place finish and she was tied for the most cars passed in the main event.

Next up she will head to The Mower Shop in Fort Smith, Ark., on Wednesday to take part in a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Her sprint car will be on display beginning at 10 a.m. local time. Fans who donate money to the fundraiser will be able to sign the race car.

White is also going to watch the weather throughout this week before deciding on where to compete this weekend.
