Inside Line Promotions – POCOLA, Okla. (June 5, 2018) – Harli White has momentum entering the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com Speedweek, which begins this weekend.

White tied her career-best ASCS finish of second place last Saturday during an ASCS Red River Region race at Tri-State Speedway, where she competed for the first time since June 2013.

“The last time I had been there the track was different,” she said. “They added a wall around the race track. I didn’t have much to go off, but it still raced the same.”

White placed second in her heat race before rallying from fifth to second in the A Main. It marked her third straight week with a top-five result.

“We got to third early on,” she said. “It took forever to get to second. Once we did we didn’t see Sam (Hafertepe Jr.) because he was gone. Our car was fast. That gives me confidence going into Speedweek. We have a fast car and I feel comfortable. It’s been consistent. It’s up to me to drive it and not make mistakes.”

The Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Speedweek starts this Friday at West Texas Speedway in Lubbock, Texas. The weekend concludes on Saturday at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, before teams take two days off. The remaining Speedweek races are June 12 at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas; June 13 at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla.; June 14 at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.; and June 16 at Salina Speedway in Salina, Kan.

“We need to make up some points,” White said. “Our main goal is to get into the top 10 in points and that’s doable. To do that first we have to finish races. The biggest thing is to stay out of trouble. If you’re having to rebuild cars every night that makes it tough. The No. 1 goal is to finish every race and then get great results from there.”

White ranks 12th in the championship standings. However, she is only 49 points out of the top 10.
